good books don’t die . . .
Your work is out of print. You want to make it available to the world again, yet everybody is telling you that books are dead, and you just need an eBook. This is not correct. Once digital files for your interior and cover are created, you can make fine paperback or hardback versions available simultaneously.
So before we call in Captain Beatty, rest assured that your titles can be available again in paperback or indeed hardback as well as in the eBook format, because let’s face it – not everyone has a Kindle or eReader yet.
Going digital, the print-on-demand process means you don’t need a huge order of printed books. Once your reader purchases a copy of your book from an online store (Amazon, Waterstones, Barnes & Noble etc), it is individually printed by the online sales outlet and sent directly to them. You, the author, set the cover price, the sales outlet prints the book, they deduct production and shipping costs and the balance goes directly into the author’s online sales account. Thus your books are available to readers across the planet and royalties go directly to you.
The author is then in a position to print a limited run of books with a local printing company for a launch, or for select “sale and return” distribution in local independent book shops.
Cyberscribe will facilitate all of this, designing and formatting your book to the highest standards (your custom design won’t be a template), and helping the author to set up their direct sales accounts. We also work with respected printers to produce and manage short print runs of high-quality books. Ray Bradbury can rest in peace for a while yet …
