the Digital Scribe cometh …
Not since Gutenberg has such a revolution happened in the field of publishing. For the reader, digital publishing, in the form of Print on Demand and eBooks make it relatively easy for a title to become available both in print, by order from online bookshops, and in electronic format.
Our niche area is the field of literary works which, for one reason or another, are no longer available from their original publisher. Once an author has the rights back to their novel, collection of short stories or memoir, they are free to take on the opportunities that “New Publishing” presents to ensure that their book is widely available again, on their terms, with direct returns.
For the established author, New Publishing also facilitates the challenge of publishing a new work without the lengthy process of going through a traditional publisher. Remuneration is direct and more lucrative, as long as the author is willing and in a position to promote the book.
Many out of print titles are only available online at exorbitant prices through specialist online bookstores, from which sales the author gets nothing. By converting the work into a publish-on-demand paperback and e-Book format, it gains a new lease of life and can earn from 35% to 70% royalties. Importantly – the book is once again internationally available to the reader at an affordable price. Cyberscribe’s role is to facilitate this process on a bespoke basis: the author retains full copyright and 100% royalties.
